Well surely in the early 1980s someone had to have taken a drill to bar en d plugs and "lightened" them with all those tiny little holes like every other component on the machines back then. But titanium bits seem eminen tly sensible to me, possibly as dodgy as the original Super Record titanium axles, thus creating the rare and collectible "death bar plugs"
