If it's the one I'm thinking of (like a cast iron two prong fork wit h the axle holders being pieces of steel about 5/8" dia.) the bits that hol d the axle have a pointy part that goes into the QR hole in the axle, and t he other end should have concave feature that a solid axle would fit into, minus its nuts.

Now, I shall write a run-on sentence!
