It was also nice to note that we finally had great weather for our post swap ride. We had pretty crappy weather in the past. Tom Adams, Ray Homiski, Dave Neuhaus and I had a fantastic ride that took through the Penn Dutch countryside. It was a nice opportunity to also do a pre-cirque shake down of our winter projects. Ray rode a twin plate Masi GC, Tom on a new Curt Goodrich, Dave on his PX-10 Peugeot, and I on the Roberson. Also seen at T-Town and not previously mentioned were Paul Lee, Larry Osborn, Dave Abraham, Dan Artley, The guy sharing the booth with Dave Abraham was a CR List member and I am having a senior moment and cannot remember his name, so if anyone can help. In all, we must of had two dozen list members. I also thought I spotted Simon Firth.

A truly enjoyable day. Next up, Miles for Methany Vintage ride in New Jersey which Angel Garcia is coordinating and then onto CIRQUE.

At least for me, part of what makes the Trexlertown Swap such a good time involves the drive through the mountains and charming small Pennsylvania towns. Friday and Saturday, as if the scenery was not enough, the spring weather was beautiful. Brilliant sunshine and few clouds.

The swap itself, as others have pointed out, measured against the fall swap, did not have the number of vendors, nor, in my opinion, the variety of stuff. There was however, more vintage stuff, I thought.

Another observation, one first noticed at the fall Chicago swap and then at the fall T-town meet and confirmed for me at this one, the punk rock and messenger crowd certainly like the fixed gear stuff. And perhaps an over generalization, they also seem to like, at least respect, the vintage stuff. And, I'd like at least to wish, a possible passing of the respect for those vintage bikes could be occurring

I sold four frames, bought one, picked up a double Park workstand that I had won on Ebay (now I wonder how I will get the base out of my car's trunk.).

The usual CR suspects showed up. Lots of fun chatting bikes and what each were bringing to the up-coming Cirque.

To borrow and change a Robert Frost line, one could do worse than be an attender of swap meets.

Cheers.
