Thanks for all the responses and photos. The derailleur I have looks like the one on http://www.yellowjersey.org/dhc.html It turns out that it is a Huret Success or Challenger II (Short cage version of Duopar?) (a Success is on http://www.yellowjersey.org/dhu.html) (a Challenger II is on http://www.yellowjersey.org/dhq.html)

It has: "white" Alu cage black anodized body (the rear has Made in France and 1483 stamps on the back) black pear colored U-shaped plate holding the parallelogram body The upper plate, connected to the hanger, has an encircled T stamp)

Does the T stamp indicate Titanium?

Anybody have experience using these? Can they handle a F:52/38 R:14/28 combination?
