I can verify this one also. I have witnessed this in the flesh as well. New Age bicycle shop in State College. The owner used to be a former racer, nothing of super pro status...he was friends with some other former racers in PA like washed up Matt Eaton and some others...anyways...he had the bike on display in the shop. He states that he paid $2K for it in the question section. I had heard much higher prices from the mouth of the owner and suspected they were just tales...similar to his tales of his racing ability! He did indeed have a yellow jersey in the shop also so that might indeed be the fact with what Mark Poore shares below. I always suspected the bicycle was indeed Claudio's but was probably used for publicity shots and the like based on the slightly larger frame size. I see someone else pointed this out in the questions area. Yep, it was his one way or the other.
