That Nishiki Pro is from 1973. Original brakes were Dia Compe center pulls. Might want to turn the front brake cable yoke around with the nut to the rear. Some had small flange, some had large flange hubs. Those bikes were under rated, at the time Nishiki was making a name for itself selling the Olympic. They were too much money at the time for a Japanese bike in the view of most customers. Potential buyers kept wondering about the frame tubing.

The West Coast Distributor, West Coast Cycle Supply had them in inventory for a long time, '73 bikes could be easliy sold as new in 1975.
