Marcel Diot on his way to winning the 1949 Paris-Bruxelles. Note how "DIOT" is painted around the single large water bottle, along with a "D" painted atop the bottle cap. Diot looks like a stocky rider. Note that this jersey has a seam down the side, unlike so many jerseys from that era which were knit as a tube. Campagnolo qr levers, rear lever mounted on the drive side. Double chainrings with long-lever (Simplex?) front mech. From "But et Club" No.176, 25 April 1949.
