Subject: [CR]Mavic SSC Rim Dating

Once again I ask the List's help with Mavic rims. I have searched on-line for visual verification but have been unable to obtain any. I am just a little too young to have seen any original SSC's in the mid-70's so I thought it prudent to ascertain their vintage before putting spokes to hubs and rims. Please find two samples of Mavic SSC rims, one grey, one blue at the following URL's:

http://www2.lexairinc.com/~geo/rims/rims1.jpg http://www2.lexairinc.com/~geo/rims/rims2.jpg

The blue rim measures 20.40 MM in width and weighs 389 grams. The grey rim measures 21.75 MM in width and weighs 411 grams.

I am hoping these are of mid-70's vintage and appropriate for use on '75, '78 and/or '79 Raleigh Teams. The 1979 being the black and blue model which, aesthetically if not historically correct, would be wonderful with the blue SSC's. The middle of the "A" in the Mavic logo on the grey rim is perforated but not peeled off the rim. Once again, I thank you in advance for your help.
