Jay,

I'm going mainly from recollection here. The cup part was on a lot of new bikes to accept the handle end of an early Silca pump, and it fit other pumps as well. I had it on a '69 or '79 Falcon. I haven't seen the other end before, but it looks like it fits the valve end of a pump. Most Silcas didn't need an additional holder, because they had Campy valve ends with the little feet that settled into the V at the bottom bracket. Later Silcas (I don't have any dates here) had a handle end shaped to fit the junction between the top tube and the seat tube. It's not clear to me exactly what pump this total set is for, but it seems a bit specialized.

Can someone tell me how this clip set works? The cup/top part is obvious, but how does the bottom part work? Does this only fit a specific pump? I'll bet Ted Ernst knows the answer to this.
