Ah the "pink" bicycle, next to my Bianchi, and the lovely DeRosa that just went for 7 odd thousand. One bike I truly admire, but probably will never own.Is the pink Mercier

"team" bikes like "Pou-Pou" rode to fame.

I have a book with very good pictures of a fine example of a mid 70's pink Mercier"team"bike.Titled;"The Guinness Guide to Bicycling". The english version of the book was copyrighted in 1977 by "Guinness Superlatives Limited",written by J Durry, and edited by JB Wadley.

To me this pink bike has "it",much the same as Gimondi's Bianchi has "it".

I think it is called "charisma" and both the French and Italian, and Italian-French bikes have"it".The top Japanese bikes in certain "flavors" have"it" too.

Just my humble opinion.
