Wayne I have a list of about 40 NZ framebuilders, which I made from memory recently. Most of them are late 70s to the present, though I'm sure that many bike shops built frames until the 60s or 70s, In Auckland there was Comet, which I rememebr from my junior racing days, and Wizard which I've never actually seen at all. I will post the list once I've extracted it from my old computer.

Smaller Aussie brands/builders which spring to mind:

Hoffy (Brisbane), where Darryll McCulloch apprenticed Geoff Scott (Sydney)- Jeffsco & Clamont which was Clarence St Cyclery's house brand Farleigh (Melbourne) Bates (Melbourne) Bates (Sydney), apparently no relation Cecil Walker (Melbourne) Hillman (Melbourne) Kenevans

I'll remember a few more while my dogs are dragging me around the block...

I also once had a rtide around the block on a locally made funny bike by Eric Malcolm, I think he only made 2 frames, this was just inside the timeframe, & I am sure a lot of that went on thruout NZ & Australia....regards wayne davidson Invercargill NZ
