Hello Bruce,

My guess is the frame was damaged to begin with. I would not be too upset over it. In my opinion the Colnago's are WAY over-rated. I have repaired several and they have been among the more unimpressive frames that I have worked on. Poor mitering, poor attention to brazing and penetration, paint jobs are very fragile, and the frame alignment (have spoken with several bike shop on this one) from the factory is general way off.

Use to really want a Colnago. Not anymore.

The lugs are not worth much in this eBay sale. They are brass brazed and chromed and as such are very difficult to get apart without damaging the lugs unless someone wants to take the time to grind out the tubes....a very long process.
