First of all, thank you all for such a warm wellcome. Obviously the passion for classic beauty brings out the best in people. :-) As for being the first from Croatia, we are neighbors to Italy and Austria and there is a lot od old beauty just gathering dust in the people's basements. Once it finds it's way to the flea market it's usually overlooked and underpriced - the apprecation for such bikes has yet to spread here. In the meantime i intend to buy as much as i can because as you can see the prices are quite a joke. :-) Anyway, it's a wonderfull country for touring and cycling in generall, beautifull coast, cool mountains and lots of history. So if anybody plans to cycle by, you can e-mail me for advice. As for you mr. Zatetalo, yor family name sounds like it came from the coast. Lot's of intresting herritage you might find there.

Back to Tigra: Jim, all i could see on the hubs is that they are Campy, probably of matching year as the derailer - i will inspect them more carefully in the evening.Rims are Weinmann tubulars. My drops are Campy. Your Tigra's frame is indeed almost identicall in apearance and it's nice to be reasurred about the tubing. I intend to mail reynolds for a replacement decals so that should resolve the dilema once and for all. Also' i will check if i can get some classic rims from ambrosio, they are well represented here. Thanks for your info.

Anyway, does anybody have some more advice for my refurbishing plans? How about paint repair - i dont feel nearly confident enough to try to repaint it all from scratch so what i want to do is just patch up the dents. I have had bad experinces with finding matching paint for patching up my modern bikes, and i would really like for this one to look smooth and consistent. I ment to go to a hoby store with a fork from tigra and try to find a matching green, red and white amongst those little jars of airplane model paint. Does that sound like a good idea? Also i would like to repeat my inquiry about modern triple cranksets on that sugino BB. And would anybody care to recommend a make and model which would blend in with the rest of the bike?

Thanks!
