"OK, now that I took the time to read the whole thread after getting all excited looking at the pictures, when I purchased one of these at "The Bikesmith" in Atlanta, GA circa 1974, the shop owner told me that it was intended to be similar to the Raleigh Pro but with less expensive non-campy parts, hence Maillard, ..."

Interesting! I guess that could also be said for the other high-end Froggy

Raleigh, the much under-rated Gran Sport which was a French spec'd "International" if you will. Rode last evening for about six miles on my

'75 Raleigh Team Pro with a commuter going home on his '75 Gran Sport! Bot h the RRA and Gran Sport had that Peugeot-esque white livery as well.

I am uncertain how one places the RRA in the heirachy with the Competition

Mk. II? Both were obviously pretty close in quality; anyone have a price

list c. 1973-74? I suspect that's why the RRA was so shortlived, it was too close in the range to the Competition.
