Dear Chuck.

Which 'Rick'? It wasn't me, was it?

I sold someone an Eisentraut '74 'A' Series, painted gloss white with a Stuart Little Decal on the seat tube. That obviously was a repaint.

Of course since Eisentrauts are customs (I believe, except for the Rainbows) I imagine any color was available. My Series 'A' was originally a forest green; I believe most of the Rainbow 'Trauts (production frames) were dove grey.

I now have a later model (circa '90) Eisentraut that has TIG welding which all of us love and long for. It is an orange/white combo, with the only (well, maybe only) weirdness being that the white extends upward from the 1/4 mark on the downtube to half way up the head tube (the fork also, is white.) I know what you are thinking: super freaky. It's nice, though. Kind of like a creamsicle.
