Beats he heck out of me what was going on during the first few years of the Raleigh ownership of Carlton. At least in 1970 the "Professional" model name existed simultaneously as both Carlton and Raleigh, but I haven't found anything that suggests that was ever also true for the Int. I've seen 50s & 60s vintage Carlton Ints, but no Raleigh Int before 69, at least not here in the states.

I agree with Peter Kohler that this period represents a huge gap in our collective "knowledge". For now I'm stuck with it. And just to add to his question about what was happening in Canada, I learned a while back from AUS listmember Ben Kamenjas that 70s era Raleighs were sold in Australia with Carlton decals for some reason, so that just adds one more item to the ever growing list of things I'll probably never understand.

Happy hunting Osborn Physically in Morgantown WV, but trying to astral project myself and a bike back to the Great Ocean Road in Victoria AUS.
