thank you Larry for the welcome to the subcult of RRA. It is a great bike and I'm already smitten with it. I've ridden it almost everyday since I bought it and I like it more and more. I polished everything up and boy do those maillard 700 hubs look pretty. Thanks for the links, the only difference I see in my bike from others besides the carlton decal is the headset which does not appear to be a stronglight but rather a brampton (SP?). When I first bought it I thought the 3ttt stem with decals still in tact would look mighty nice on my raleigh pro and that the brake levers with the black carlton hoods are exactly what I need for my competition. But once I rode it I knew nothing was being switched out. In terms of price, the original receipt says the owner paid 330.00 for the bike, which I guess was a pretty good deal!

I'm still searching for some simplex super lj derailleurs for it which is all I need to make this correct (anybody have any laying around?). I do have some other simplex derailleurs that kind of look the part that I'm going to use for now instead of the suntours on it now.

I really do wish the RRA had eyelets on it because I think it would look great with fenders. Oh well!
