I just picked up a free copy of the 2005 NYC MTA Bike Riding map. Not only
does it have all the established bike riding routes in the five boroughs,
but it also has a list of the City's bike shops, fees for carrying bikes
on private bus lines in the City, proper procedures for carrying bikes on
public transportation, and other worth while information.
Most bike shops in NYC have copies to give out free. The map says that
more copies can be obtained by telephoning "311" from within NYC. The
