Steve Maas outed an Austro Daimler Vent Noir on eBay:

Recently, someone spoke wistfully of an Austro Daimler Vent Noir. There is a nice one on eBay right now, no. 7160021282.

I'd bid on it, but space in the garage is getting pretty tight these days..... +++++++++++++++++ I don't have many bikes, but I do have one of these, and find it a very nice bike to ride. I bought it an a SuperLeicht Ultima from the same retired gentleman one rainy night. I fairly soon decided that the Ultima was really beautiful, but the steering was too aggressive for my tastes. It is gone. The Vent Noir, in contrast, is just a great day-riding bike. I prefer the later smoky chrome finish to the non-gloss black paint on mine, but that's life. Otherwise, the early DuraAce components (Crane rear, D/A hubs, brakes, and cranks, all black) are just lovely to operate. I feel that the brakes give better control than Campy of that vintage, and the gears shift much, much better. But, your mileage may vary.
