Here is kind of a neat looking bike, but it is not very clear what it really is. The bike is chrome now, but apparently was originally paint over chrome. The owner thinks it is a Carlton Cobra, based on this page from an old catalog.

Reading the descriptions and looking at the pictures, it appears that the bike in question may be a Criterium rather than a Cobra. It may also be that the pictures got switched, because the descriptions don't match the pictures very well.

In any case, does anyone know anything about these models? Since the paint has been stripped away, there is no sticker indicating what kind of tubing would have been used. The brochure is particularly silent on frame construction. There is no indication of what kind of tubing is used on any of the bikes, even the Professional. The bike is a three speed now, but seems more likely to have started life as a derailleur-equipped 5 speed, since there is a cable guide on the right top of the bb.
