Many thanks to all for the information. Now, can you tell me what machined ring identifiers denote what type threads. I've seen hubs as you described both ways, some with the threads marked, others unmarked. I've always wondered how to tell what the freewheel threads are on an unmarked hub. I usually just tried the old go/no-go (gently) technique with an English freewheel and then an Italian. If neither fit then it had to be French. I believe Regina has some such system as well. BTW, I have Campy English threaded freewheels that do not want to thread onto an Italian threaded hubs. If I apply enough torque they might but I'm not going there. I've always heard the old saw about English/Italian compatibility. Maybe that just applies to Italian freewheels onto English hubs and not vice versa.

Many Thanks Again,

George Allen Lexington, Ky
