Gee, this looks a lot like the '71 Italian Masi I acquired early this year. Orange repaint, mis-matched decals, well used (well, beat).

Wouldn't have paid $1k for mine, but if the ebay one had the original fork, given recent high sales prices, it might be a project with economic merit in addition to the enjoyment of bringing a classic back from the dread.

For your viewing enjoyment, a link to photos of my Masi frameset before sending it out for restoration. Hope to have it ready for the Masi beach event at Velo Rendezvous...

By the way, looking for an excellent condition buffalo Unicanitor to grace this bike if anyone has one to part with.

Cool italian Masi here. Early 70s. 61cm. Much the worse for wear. Would you repaint it?

I'll be curious to see if he gets his reserve, considering how well-used this bike is. Has some neat features though, like the bb cutouts..
