I looked at this bike in person last May. I don't know if this is the same guy, but it was in Palm Springs when I looked at it. He had it listed in the ReCycler and it sounded interesting, so I drove out and had a look.

The bike seemed a little strange. The seller, at that time, mentioned nothing about the bike having been straightened. He said that he had it chromed and then painted it himself. At the time, I posted some questions to the list and had some off list discussion about this Pog and Pogs in general with several members. If anyone remembers those discussions, well, this is the bike. In fact, Charles, I showed you some pictures I took at the time. The guy was asking $500.

When I looked at it the crank arms were mismatched. I see he has mentioned this in the item description. The rear der had a 1971 date on it. The components seemed to be a hodge podge that the owner said he had put on over the years. He said that the Campagnolo hubs had come from a Bob Jackson.

I never rode the bike because something seemed strange about the bike and the seller, so I passed.

I still have a few pictures I took. They don't show much more than those in the auction, but if you are interested, I'd be happy to e-mail them.
