It's not a single word per se, but some musicians and/or collectors of musical instruments have a term for their disease: "GAS", which translates as "gear acquisition syndrome".
Having been afflicted by both "illnesses", I can testify they are similar-- even to the extent that some instruments get played, some get looked at, a few get stored away in climate-controlled vaults, and some just collect dust.
Perhaps we vintage bike enthusiasts need a similar term to describe our "problem"... I'll leave it to the linguists in the group to come up with a proper acronym... (Aging Cyclists Reliving Our Nostalgic Youthful Memories)...
