Each year Ernesto Colnago would have 20 framesets ready for Saronni................But then again there was a so called special relationship. Yan Giebers the former PDM manager, when assembling a Dutch Amature team,.............before his PDM position. While visiting Ernesto he ran accross a rack full of framesets. Yan said something and Ernesto said, those are the framesets of Seronni, we build for him 20 or so framesets per season and those are the leftovers. He offered one to Yan so he took it, wasn't ridden by the man but still a little bit different. It's now here with us.

BTW: Yans team was to be riding for and on GIANNI MOTTA!...........Ernesto cought wind of this so he offered twice the money of GIANNI. Problem though, with the Amature ranks only one team would be able to race with a certain marque.......Yans team, they rode Saronni.
