I am writing to ask you guys some questions regarding PayPal. (Yes, I wrote to PayPal....but they are not responding.)
I have been having some strange difficulty when I pay for items. Instead of the payment being an "Instant Transfer" (like it has been for the past 5+ years,) PayPal is now sending "eChecks" to the sellers when I buy things. The eCheck requires a 3-day "clearing" period.
So the first problem is:
How or why did my PayPal start sending eChecks instead of Instant Transfers? (There is money in my account at all times.) I DON'T WANT TO SEND E-CHECKS. How do I change it back to "Instant Transfers?"
The second problem is this:
Then last night I found a guy selling an old "<C>" chrome steel HS; (see this item: 7164191742.) Buy it now was/is $34.00. I pushed "Buy it Now" and it said, "This seller requires immediate PayPal payment for this item." Then the PayPal "Log-In" window came up. I logged in and PayPal said I needed to update my credit card on file. The page looked like it was from PayPal. So like a fool, I entered my credit card number and all other info (name, address, etc.) but NO passwords. I pushed "next" to go to the next page and it said: "This card is already on file."
To make a long story short, PayPal in conjunction with this seller would NOT let me purchase the item.
You should have seen how mad I was! I was swearing at the computer in the middle of the night! I felt like one of those filthy, tattooed, losers on COPS. I took a few Klonopin and that put me at ease for the night.
