This model was top of the line Gios for that day (end of the 80s). Beware of the short top tube and steep frame angles! My Gios Professional of '87 was a 58 c-t, instead of my usual 120 mm stem I used a 130, and it still felt too short.

Hi, Listers!

I just saw a Gios Compact Professional in my size, and I know zip about Gios. Is this model one of their better ones? How do they ride?

Frame features are a bit odd, with unusual rear dropoouts and seat lug. The dropouts have an added plate for rear mech mounting, and the seatstay attachments are about as far from an elegant Masi shape as possible. Still, it's Columbus SLX so this is not an Italian bike boom consumer grade bike.

Front derailleur mount is braze-on not band-on, so that may bound the frame age. I'm asking the owner for some more info.
