Well, it has happened again.

I go wandering in to one of the bike stores I haunt locally and say to the owner - ", anything interesting?"

Expecting nothing. He comes out of the back room with a Geoffrey Butler, Campy shifters and cranks, High flange hubs and Fiamme rims.

Scratched up, but nice.

Wrap around seat stays and all.

The owner is by now, unfortunately getting wise to me and is starting to play it cagey when I ask - in an off hand fashion - " How Much?"

I am unsure of the vintage of this - I am thinking '70's.

The frame is 531, but the brakes are what puzzle me. The levers appear to have an adjustment mechanism right at the lever, on the top, the brake calipers are labelled " Universal Mod 68" and on the side "Brev ##########" - Campagnolo brake pads and holders.

Anybody have any idea what those brakes may be? and what the vinatge is? They are nicely cast and Look like Campy calipers - they don't say Campy though.

Any help appreciated.
