My '69 PX-10 has Super Champion red label rims (yes Super Champions not Mavic Monthlery.. but these came from a '72 PX-10) which I want to replace/upgrade with something prototypical but lighter.
My first choice, if I can find them, are Mavic Monthlery Legere rims (which I have on my '75 Raleigh Team Pro) but these seem hard to find. The other choice I am considering are Super Champion Medaille d"Or which seem incredably light (265 grams!). Has anyone had experience with these rims in terms of their durability etc. And indeed were they around c. 1970?
