Peter, If the red lab rims are Arc En Ciel, they are already relatively light at 330 gm. The Medaille d'Or at 260 gm was hard for me to keep in true, even at my then 152 lbs. There was another model in between at 290 gm, Championat du Monde, I believe.

I used them back in the mid 1970s. I bent the one on the rear of my bike every couple of months. After going through a few of them I replaced the one on the back with an Arc En Ciel (330g compared to 260g for the Médaille D'Or) and never had any more problems with bending rims. I kept the Médaille D'Or on the front (I weighed mid 170s).
