There seems to be some inconsistency with PX10 sizing.

My first PX10 measures 21" from bb to the lowest point of the top of the lug, and 52.5cm C-C.

My new one measures 23" (58cm) C-C and 59cm C-T.

I can't determine here which measurement method or standards would seem to aply to both of these bikes. The small one is about 1967 and the big one is 1970. Both have Nervex Pro lugs, but the old one has a pointed shield badge not squared off on the bottom. Each has it's own distinct downtube lettering and I can't say which I prefer. One of each should do! Here's the old "21 inch" one: http://us.f3.yahoofs.com/users/428a9232z3f7e1913/ea29/__sr_/63e3.jpg?phuB HyCBpeUbIUVB

Here's the 1970 "58cm" http://us.f3.yahoofs.com/users/428a9232z3f7e1913/4ad2/__tn_/9deb.jpg?ph1z zvCBUcl37BzQ

And here's the Raleigh Pro from 6 weeks ago, after cleaning it up: http://us.f3.yahoofs.com/users/428a9232z3f7e1913/4ad2/__tn_/1e87.jpg?ph1z zvCB3V5BrXwm

The good news for me (since I had been looking for a non-existent 57cm for some time!) is that this 58cm with it's 58cm TT has a layed back 72.5-degree seat tube angle which effectively makes the top tube a cm or so shorter and will allow me to fit a sanded-down-to-fit 1A stem, either a 9cm or 10cm that I have gathering dust. I think the 10cm measures 9.5cm by the contemporary measuring method (on center with the extension) so that should be perfect with a model 66 bar.

I should (for once!) take a "before" picture to provide some perspective to my "after" pictures that will happen later. I put a current Record-10 wheelset on to make the angle measurements (the head angle was 73, btw) and that should make for a funny looking photo. I sat on the bike and the size feels right. The previous owner must have been my size judging by the seat height. Glad I bought it!.

Thanks for all the info on these bikes. I imagine they all came with sewups, but I notice that they also take 27" wheels like they were made for them. Big tires no problem, either. Is this a do-it-all bike, or what?

In the US by 1972, the PX-10 was definitely available in 21", which was probably 52cm or 54 cm.

In 73 it was either Brooks Pro or Ideale 90, as Jerry already said, and the stock frame sizes were 56, 58, 60 and 64cm. In 75 the Saddle was a Ideale 2001 and the frame sizes the same. By 77 the frame sizes had increased to from 52-64 in 2cm increments. Same Saddle.

that's all from me .
