I wonder if perhaps Alex has other groups doing what CR guys did with Peugeot and CR jerseys, i.e. preordering a large part of the production. That might account for the quick sellout of the most popular sizes. Given the size and diversity of CR, you wouldn't think there could be a group of vintage bike buffs doing that without someone here knowing about it. But I have noticed that some of these jerseys occasionally are resold by mail order/ internet retailers. A large retailer could probably suck up a large percentage of a given jersey's production run.
I remember "in the day", newcomers to the sport were indoctrinated in the many benefits of wool cycling gear, even for summer use. With the dominance of synthetics now, I think the mainstream cycling community has forgotten that, with only the classic crowd preferring wool. But I totally agree, the only "miracle" in these miracle synthetics is how miraculously cheap they can be made to hype the profits of disitributors or high-volume retailers.

came into stock. Did the usual, do I really need to spend money on anoth er wool jersey nonsense and by the next day, wham! gone! All but XXXXL (pleas e not on a Cinelli!!) and small sold out. Finito. So maybe they know the ir market. Eye-Tie sells and hey, you can't argue with that.
Can't or won't wear wool in summer? Think again. It's that time of year here in Washington. Temp: low 90s. Humidity: mid 70s-80s. I wore my Peugeot-BP wool jersey on Sat for 50-odd miles and was cool as a cucumber on a frying pan. Today I wore my vintage '70s synthetic "wool" TI Raleig h jersey in similar conditions and my cat took one whiff and ran under the bed when I came home.
