Lou,

I've got to say that from the first time I became aware of Cuevas frames, I was drawn to them. There's just something about the way all the little special details of his frames add up to something greater than the sum of the parts. I hope someday to be able to add one to my collection. I can't say I know much about Cuevas except the snippets of information here and there that come up on the list and the info on the wool jersey site, but I feel that his frames say a lot about the man. You've got to see that he loved what he did.

Can any of the framebuilders describe briefly how one would go about making the neat little "bird-mouth" seat stay/rear dropout connection detail. Very neat. Seems like it would be hard to file after brazing. Perhaps a multi-step process?
