Or perhaps this should be "Ebay worth nothing." This is truly an entertaining auction, but I don't think there is any risk of a bidding war. Like many uninformed sellers, he seems to have confused the standard bicycle size designation, seat tube length, with the department store bike size designation, wheel diameter. The irony is that while this is almost certainly the source of his confusion, the bike isn't even a 27" or 700C-wheeled unit. It is a child's racing bike that appears to have 24" wheels.

If this guy paid $700 for this bike in 1982 he paid a little too much. On the other hand, $700 would not get you full-Campy at that time, except possibly GS, and it is certainly not a given that it would be all-Campy at that price. At that time $700 was a price point that might get the buyer high-end Japanese stuff (Dura Ace, Superbe) if he was lucky, or a mix of some NR and a lot of less expensive European stuff. The bike in the auction appears to have a Campy drivetrain, with an NR ft der, SR cranks, and maybe a GS or NR rear der. Then again the ft der is the only thing that I'm reasonably sure isn't just a Campy look-alike. Even if the arms are NR/SR, and not GS, Gippie, etc., they are likely to be very short.
