Before this got into discussion about shipping costs, I was just going to say what an impressive stock CycleArt has. After being utterly frustrated in my eBay bidding for a pair of T/A waterbottle cages, CycleArt came through. They weren't cheap but not much more than eBay and I sure wasn't surprised by the shipping which was clearly stated. The goods came in a matter of 72 hours. And a final and frustating finale to a restoration was thus achieved. Well, almost... Eric Elman came through the equally elusive bottle!

I appreciate a lot of you folks have a basement or garage filled with this stuff, have a car and troll the shows and flea markets or just plain refuse to spend more than the 1976 retail price. Fine. But for those us without such resources, CycleArt, CampyOldy and Renaissance Cycles are godsends and I have good dealings with all three. If nothing else, it's like turning the clock back when cycle shops sold stuff that I could recognise. Honestly, I go into a modern day bike shop and don't know what 80 per cent of the stuff is. And don't want to!
