Subject: [CR]Re: Shipping eBay goods, Usa only?

<< This is merely a follow-up to a subject of "not shipping out of the United States" that David Bilenkey brought up:

I'm always amazed at folks who are selling vintage bicycle parts but who REFUSE to ship outside of the United States. In my opinion, these people are either mentally challenged, do not like money, ..........OR BOTH.

...........sellers with the "Freedom Fries" seller mentality.>>

In my USA only shipping, there is abosulutely no nationalistic intention at all! I believe FEAR of getting ripped off is the pr5imary reason that many sellers stick w9ith USA only, not flag waving.

In this case, I am simply avoiding ANY additional complications and time investment with these frames, as I am losing money already on most of these. Each is a "slow turner" and I paid more than the Buy It Now option in virtually every case. These frames of course are selling mostly at the reserve price which is hundreds "in the hole." So fiddling around with varying shipping rates and other overseas concerns is simply a hassle. But as I told David privately, I would work things out for a CR list member if they so desired....

Now if I had some first edition Campag hubs or cranks or super old Simplex, I would be nutz not to allow the profit motive to inspire me to a little extra legwork and let that stuff go to whatever country the hign bidder lived in!
