Don't know what all the fuss is about - technically Dales existing title of "The British Isles" has as far as I was aware, always been the correct Geographical collective name, irrespective of the national government, for Scotland, England, and Wales, the whole of the island containing Ireland (now the republic of) and Northern Ireland, the Channel Isles (Jersey and Guernsey) and the Isle of Man. By governmental control they are still separately the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, The Republic of Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.

My suggestion is to leave the title on the linked page to "The British Isles" (but change the "includes" part to encompass Scotland, England, Wales, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man) but dump the United Kingdom bit from the main CR site that links to it, changing the link title to the British Isles. If it would keep eveyone happy it wouldn't be too difficult to add links from there to individual pages for each of the countries included.

Jerry, I have to disagree with your comment "plus one would think those involved would cut us Yanks at least a bit of slack in not having to split hairs that finely" Okay, let's rename that big land mass to the North West of here the New World, and take in Canada, and South America while we are at it. It's all about national pride, nothing to do with hairdressing !
