I don't get it either...

I was a very impressionable junior racing with the Oxford City Road Club) in the early seveties when the Holdsworth team were at their peak so I went down to see Roy Thame on Lower Richmond Road to buy a Holdsworth...

Which is when I learned there were three types; "factory" Holdsworthy frames which were "off the peg" and buillt by HoldsworthY, "shop frames" like the Cronometro which were customer built, and then the bikes the team actually used, which - to the disgust of HoldsworthY - could be either. Shortly after I had my frame built (a Cronometro road frame - which technically didn't exist) in 1975 the shop had to stop using the Holdsworth name on shop frames at the request of HoldsworthyY and used Roy Thame instead.

The point is... That at the time the frames to "have" were the custom built shop frames, not the "factory" Pros...

And I agree, that rivet is horrible!

Needless to say, I'm sure we all have it on our watch list....

And yes, I've still got mine...
