I dunno - that's kind of cool, and I can see how you arrived at that placement decision. Should get the tri-geeks' attention, at least.... ;-) I'd be a little worried about that much weight (when the bottle is full) cantilevering out there during spirited riding, but if it holds, it's pretty aero-D. You might want to consider one of the mounts that attach directly to the post. Nice-looking Copper International! What year is it? I recently purchased a Pewter-colored 1974 one that I am sorting out as we speak. Where did you get the TA cage, and the Honey Team Pro saddle with the copper-plated rails? Looks great.... Greg

I think it looks stupid, but it wasn't half bad from a functional standpoint when I tried it out in the driveway. I'd use handlebar bottle mounts, but I don't want to cover up my lovely GB "Map of England" Randonneur bars.
