This bike is not copper plated. It is copper colored. The frame is chrome plated and then painted with a tinted clearcoat. I believe they called the process Cromolatto back when La Bicicletta here in Vancouver had it on a huge number of bikes they sold. Don't stare too hard at it because it will start to flake off if you do.
