Except that I think I remember that later in his career LeMonde rode US-made Ti frames, at least on the mountain stages, painted as Bottechia, or whoever the official team supplier was. Don't remember if the Ti frames were Litespeed (do they go back that far?) or someone else. I guess technically LeMonde is off-topic, except there is a parallel to Luis Ocana and Speedwell Ti frames, which are definitely on-topic. BTW, I didn't find the Rotrax bit.
