Subject: [CR]FS: 27 x 1 Michelin clinchers (one pair)

Discussion of tyres/tires reminds me that I have a pair of extras, 27" x 1" clincher, that someone else might like to put to use. Marked "Michelin made in france (25 - 630) 27 x 1 inflate up to 95 p.s.i", they are attractively (and very pliably) gumwall and were unused old stock until a few months ago, when I put about ten miles on them, mostly for the sake of comparison with 27 x 1 1/4 size. Either work, of course, but I've ended up running the larger for a smidge more cushion from the manifold Manhattan potholes. My thought is that someone with a long-standing preference for 27 x 1 on a certain bike might like these as useful spares, or additionally, they are authentic period items clean enough to top off a more display-oriented bike calling for this size. Since springtime, then, the 27 x 1 have been on a spare set of wheels, inflated to about 30 or 40 p.s.i. just resting idly. They show no wear, and have a sort-of half-herringbone tread pattern with a central ridge. There is no model designation on the tires, but I believe they may easily date back to the seventies. Can some one use them at $20 plus shipping?

Many thanks,
