You can also see all the stuff Bob mentioned on my modified Italian G.C. from about '74: <http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/Masi_1975_ItalGC_V54>. Same note as usual ... click each thumb for a medium size view, then click it again for the HUGE version, and excellent clarity.

By the way ... I've changed the Masi album names, so if you have them bookmarked for reference, please update to the new URL.

And a note for those who wonder ... this Masi and a 74 Colnago super that I have are genuinely leaps and bounds more comfortable (yet quite responsive) than many of my 1980s model racing bikes. There really is some sort of mojo magic there :)

Jack;

This stem appeared on quite a few Italian GC's in '73 and '74. I believe a

few showed up on early Carlsbads as well. It had Falliero's sig panto'ed o n the sides, and tapered milled slots on top (the front one in yellow, the rea r one in blue). In '74 it was part of a package of components that included milled-out shift levers lined in yellow, milled seatpost (blue and yellow fi ll), milled chainrings, and Masi-engraved ttt bars. You can see all of them on a bike at speedbicycles.com (click on the museum and look for the '74 GC).
