I've steered clear of this discussion so far as it seems not to be illuminating anyone or anything. But I do take exception to the above. Of course, maybe it's because I make my living as an expert witness, forming and rendering opinions for cash (but not about bicycles!).

Classic Bicycle content: just finished putting together the slightly bigger twin brother to my early-'80s Zunow Hummingbird. Yes, I now have *two* with the identical green/yellow/orange/pink fade paint job, a 55 and a 57. Took it out last night for a test drive, and it is very, very sweet. I don't claim to be an expert on this (grin), but for my money, good Japanese steel rides way better than 99% of the Italian -or- French stuff (both of which which I've also ridden).

So let's argue about that for a while!
