Thanks for the post on the Clubman. Very similar to my Raliegh Lenton, as mentioned in my post a few minutes ago, and in about the same condition as when I got it. My Lenton has cleaned up nicely, and it looks like the Clubman will also. A nice purchase for someone -- sorry you missed it but I share your concerns about eBay and don't question your caution.
