Everyone! go to your local art supply store and see if they have any Copal oil varnish. They stopped making this in the 1980s.Buy all they got.This is the original varnish used to clear coat transfers.The 1911 repair book I have says you can coat(with copal) the hole bike for a high gloss finish.Over time copal will yellow,the "new" picture varnish is called Dammar Varnish and it's non-yellowing.As Ray pointed out---test try before full use. sam lingo,pleasanton tx
