Hello CR members. I thought that is was about time I joined this list, ofte
n
looked but could not reply. My name is Jack Palmer, trade on Ebay as â
aynscombecycleworksâ. I have a 100 year old bike shop in Kent, Engl
and and have
been running it for 35 years. I am also a VCC member. Bought the shop from
my
uncle who 40 years earlier bought it from my grandfather. The shop was
originally named âAynscombe cycle martâ hence the Ebay name
. I have been running
down the shop for the last 3 years and therefore aiming for retirement of s
orts.
Too much competition around here especially from âsell âem
cheapâ type
outlets. I have never been much of a collector of bikes but love riding the
m and
have a couple of nice machines. I have always done all the repairs and
servicing in the shop and particularly enjoy working on the classics. I sta
rted
selling on Ebay as a means of disposing of stock, turned out that I enjoyed
this
so have continued and hope to for the immediate future. I would be pleased
to help if at all possible and CR members would be welcome at the shop.
Through Ebay sales I have met some of you and without a doubt you are a
knowledgeable lot!. I look forward to hearing and hopefully meeting some of
you.
