I'd say in order of preference: Biggest tire possible at lower pressure lightest handlebar/stem possible (PX-10 ;^) tangential spoking w/ lightest spokes possible box section rims. Go for a road/path frame *** the best way. You should have a bike for every application!!

I've been riding my raleigh pro track bike alot on the streets and I'm sure you can imagine it can be a bit of a harsh ride. I have a fork from a raleigh international with the steer tube length and I was wondering if I swith out the forks will this have any difference in the harshness of the ride?

any info would be appreciated.
