Is this a trick question? In fact, it was in 1980 at age 33 that Zoetemelk won his only TdF, riding for the TI-Raleigh team directed by the legendary Peter Post. One presumes he rode a Raleigh Team Pro made of Reynolds 753.

It's all there on the web site of our good buddy "Chairman" Bill McGann:

OK - here's a stumper! Many of us know Joop Zoetemelk was a 33 yr old Dutch, one time Tour De France winner in 1980 (he finished with a total time of 109hr 19min 14sec) He rode for TI-Raleigh.

BUT!! does anyone know the brand and model tubing Joop used in his lone Tour de France victory? Not only is it a fun obscure question, I also get free shipping from ebayer Terry Porter with the correct answer ...

OK - I promise to tell him I got help even though my ethicists tell me its alright to ask the list - (think of it as my lifeline phone call!)

Anyone have a clue? :-)
