Personally, I think I'd almost rather change the entire cog assembly than remove and replace all the cogs. I have a 14-28 Regina cluster on which the notched body was badly rounded, so the only way to remove the FW was remove the entire cog assembly from the FW body, dropping the bearings all over the floor of course, clamp the body in a bench vise, and use the leverage of the wheel to remove the FW body, which at that point was fit only for the trash can. I have a complete close ratio Regina on which I may remove the cog assembly and replace with this one. That means keeping a million of those tiny bearings in place while reassembling the FW, of course. But I'd almost rather deal with that than try to get 5 frozen cogs removed from two different sides. Like I said, makes you appreciate Maillard Aris and Zeus 2000.

Good thing I didn't bust a vein straining at my poor, poor chainwhips to get the 4th cog off. It wouldn't budge (duh!). I gave up. So, the darn thing comes OFF THE BACK! You gotta dismount the freewheel, it sounds like, take off the 5th---and then leave a man behind!* I'm just removing the whole thing and temp-installing a bigger freewheel set for my upcoming hilly needs.
